Looking for plus size summer dresses for women over 50? Me too!
The weather is heating up here in Kentucky, and I need to be ready for everything this summer has in store for me. I have a couple of weddings on my calendar, as well as simply needing a new church dress or two to brighten up my closet.
I’m planning another trip to Guinea to visit my grandson. If I can find the right dress, I will take it along. So, let’s have a look at a couple of my favorite plus size summer dresses for women over 50!
The Best Plus Size Summer Dresses for Women Over 50!
I am considering this attractive shift shown to the left. I absolutely love the aqua color! It is one of my favorite shades. And, the print is feminine without being too girlish.
My upper arms are not necessarily my best feature. That is why I was glad when one of the Amazon reviewers mentioned that this dress looks good with a jacket. I would wear it with a blazer, a shrug or a cotton cardigan. It might even look nice with a white cotton over-blouse for a casual, afternoon party.
Another reviewer mentioned the fabric is thick, which is nice because it makes a slip unnecessary. It also is more forgiving of my various rolls and bulges. I like a dress that is not too clingy. Let it just skim over my curves. That’s what I like!
This pretty summer dress comes in sizes 14 plus to 22 plus. It seems to run a little on the large size, so no need to order up in sizing. In fact, you might want to order a size smaller than usual in order to get the best fit.
Women’s Plus Size Summer Dress
This Adrianna Papell dress has a vintage vibe that appeals to me. I remember women wearing dresses similar to this one when I was a girl in the 1960’s and 70’s. I guess that is why I like it, because it is not really much like anything else I currently have in my closet. You all know I am drawn to vintage looks!
This pink and ivory print is perfect for wearing to a summer wedding, or for teaching Sunday School. It is very feminine and cheerful, and at the same time conservative and modest. It is floral, yet retains a strong sense of dignity.
One Amazon reviewer mentioned that she spent well over a hundred dollars on this frock. Most of this designer’s dresses run around $200. It is quite a bit under $100 at the time of this writing, which makes it a good bargain, in my opinion.
This 100% cotton dress comes in sizes 14 to 20. You will need to dry clean this garment.
